most schools have a tutoring program for free. especially if it’s for passing a standardized exam. i use to tutor back in hs for free for the math exam. try asking your math teachers or counselors.
for money and additional privacy? i know a tutor….. which part of la?
i just read that approximately 10% don’t pass in CA which sounds about right. people should meet a minimum standard before graduating.

Wow, I saw this on Bill O’Reilly’s “The O’Reilly Factor”
Someone on his show said they will graduate those kids until the court stops them.
Here is what you need to know:
1) 0 x anything is 0
2) 2^5 = 32
3) make sure you have at least a scientific calculator for much more complex calculations.
4) pi = 3.1415269…..non-repeating, non-terminating decimal that is equal to 2*pi*r (circumference of a circle)
5) and when doing those multiplications with decimals, “dance” the decimal “out” as many times as there are decimal places and “dance” them back “in” when you’re done multiplying and adding the partial sums.
btw, is algebra on the test?
In that case, if the equation is like:
x + 3 = 10, subtract 3 from 10 and get x = 7. ALWAYS try to get the variable separated from the numbers on one side of the equal sign.

I would think that you could talk to a school counselor about this. They might know someone who can help you.
