I’m not sure about a lot of tutoring companies in the LA area, but I do know a fantastic reading program that my child is in. My son who is in the 1st grade was having trouble learning to read so I enrolled him in a reading program with Lakeside Learning. They probably aren’t the cheapest program out there, but wow does this program work. And it didn’t take that long. I am so happy with the results, I’m keeping him in the program even though he is now reading on grade level. My son really enjoys working with his instructor, Cynthia! Thank you Lakeside! Another GREAT tutoring company is Vantage Prep and Educational Services. They offer SAT Prep and Academic Subject Tutoring. I have been using them for Chemistry tutoring this year, and my tutor is amazing. He really helps me understand the material, and if I am just not understanding something, he can explain it in a different way. They have other tutors too.
